My gas fireplace stopped working and after i took it apart and tried to clean the coupler myself and to no avail I called a different company and they came out on a 105.00 dollar service call and said yes your coupler is bad but we will have to order it and give you a price quote to replace it. After a week they called and left a quote of 225.00 on our voice mail. When we called them back they said I dont know where you got this quote because our quote will be 325.00. We said no thanks and called Albany Stove, so Kenny came out on a 99.00 service and cleaning call and totally cleaned the fireplace inside and out, then replaced the bad 30.00 coupler of which he had in his service van and put the stove all back together for a total cost of 129.00 and it only took about 45 minutes.Kenny was knowledgeable and very courteous.Super happy!They will for sure get our business for now on!

They are very friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. They cut some firebrick for me and it fit perfectly. Their prices are very reasonable and they have the most adorable dog that greets you at the door. They have hot tub supplies which also makes it convenient.

Came for inspection and cleaning ended up only needing inspection even called back with info I asked for. Excellent

I wish I could give zero stars. I used them as a realtor recommendation for inspection. My fireplace passed. They said the damper was broken, easily repaired. The workman came, broke the damper, it fell on his head and left a gash, he took the damper with him and said there was nothing he could do, just keep the fireplace doors closed. I called the manager who was very rude, he said he could install a chimney top damper for 750.00. The fireplaces smokes and has been unusable. And no damper. Please...even if its a realtor recommending, shop around! Ive never experienced such unashamedly, unapologetic poor service before.

Called about stoves and pipes and both times the lady was rude, short and nasty. Told us in the midst snark way that she had the cheapest price. Kindly took my buisness to wilco.

Was very excited about their selection of gas stoves and was ready to make a purchase, but walked into their indoor, windowless showroom today and their sales person was not wearing a mask. He was helping two people, who, thankfully, were. No dice. We turned around and walked out.They just lost a customer.

They don t seem to be interested in what the customer actually wants. They told us what would pass inspection, told us it was the ONLY stove that would pass for the space, even though we wanted one that would allow us to place a pot on top----had them install it, now their choice did not pass inspection and they don t seem to care.

I cant speak to the quality of the work, but the technician did NOT offer to wear a mask. Due to this blatant lack of respect I will, unfortunately, not be calling this company again.

We have been using them for 25 years. Bought our newest stove from them. Great service and great people.

Albany Stove removed an old, nonfunctional wood stove from my house. I had asked them to sweep the vent to the roof first so minimal products of combustion would be left. They did everything needed promptly and well. The crew was very respectful of the house and used many large drop cloths and a shop vac to keep as much dust as possible out of the house as they removed the venting to the ceiling, then capped off the roof vent at top and bottom. I felt their price was also reasonable.

I had my chimney and stove cleaned. Somewhere in the reviews I posted a picture of the chunks and caked ash left in the pipe. Debris was left inside on the floor. At best the glass on the pellet stove was smeared if cleaned. I sent them a video. They said they would be out next business day first thing. They didn’t show so I called and was told that they saw the video and that’s what was in there after the 3 minute test burn. Wish I could post the video! I’m not being picky, they never cleaned parts of it. Then didn’t show up when they said they would.

We purchased a beautiful pellet stove fire place insert from Albany Stoves. We picked our stove out from their huge selection of stoves on display. We are super happy with the looks of the stove and how it heats our home. This is the second home we have had them install a stove. They do a great job. We highly recommend them.

The blower on my gas fireplace has been cutting out off and on.My wife called to request service, they ask for the model of the blower and she is quoted 200$ for the service.They come out, replace the fan and its still cutting out.I was billed $240 (85 for service printed on form and 155 for fan)I called back and the guy who answered the phone said because I asked for the fan to be replaced they did what they were asked. I will be charged for another visit.I asked for my original working fan back and he said they throw them away instead of testing/repairing.Do not recommend

2 months after warranty the stove failed and they wanted $600 to fix it. No flexibility, no help. I will never use these people again. All they care about is making money. Customer service is non existent here

Came out as the pellet stove was smoking a lot. Quoted me $175.00 to clean as they said that was the problem. The repairman was here for 45 minutes and charged me an extra $50.00. Stove still smokes. Would be afraid to purchase anything from them as they seem to have no integrity.
