I work there and I love what I do BUT they do not care about their employees here. We’re going through a pandemic and while mist of the people are working from home due to the pandemic and school closings and such, others have to stay in office until they feel it’s time for you to work from home. Like WHAT??? We’re going through a crises and at anytime can be exposed to COVID-19 but do you think they care?! On top of that most parents don’t have sitters due to schools and camps closings but do you think they care?! No. As long as your but is sitting in that seat that’s all they care about and it’s wrong. So basically their saying forget your kids, leave them home alone and come to work. No that’s not fair. Meanwhile their sitting and working from home. They need to get it together. This is why they have a big turn around. Maybe if they treat people better people will stay much longer
The best!
Theyre very unhelpful and discourteous. Theyre staff seems a bit oblivious and/or dont care. Likely both.
I worked there as a Temp I must say this is the first job to ever want their employees opinions to make it a workplace to feel like a great place to work, Their Cafeteria is an awesome place to relax and watch Television, I never brought food but heard it was delicious, and my supervisor was awesome loved working with her. Maximus is a good place to work to gain experience.
I fell in their bathroom, on my tailbone, laid there at least 20 minutes. I couldn’t get up. I came to work the very next day. Back started hurting again so I went to the ER. I was diagnosed with Sciatica. Doc said I must stand often, we was already doing that. I went Wednesday night. Had Thursday and Friday off. Getting dressed Monday morning and received the call that they let me go. There was a scuff mark where my shoe slipped.
I am very happy to NOT continue with this company, and work for someone who actually cares about there employees. This place needs a new human resource department and a new management team
This place is honestly not worth your time. Heard about this job through my temp agency and took it.. WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. The entire company is so disorganized. More importantly, they have absolutely no sense of EMPATHY. During the 4-6 weeks of training, you must attend class every day, and if you have a doctor’s appointment or an important matter to attend to during that period, you get written up for it. You have two times of getting written up before they fire you. In addition to leaving early for a doctor’s appointment, you get points deducted from your work and pay, since your time at work is based on a point system. The lower the points you have, the higher chances of being written up/termination. You can’t use the bathroom before your breaks or lunch, or else you get points deducted. it horribly effects your job. There is an extremely high turnover rate. A few people besides myself left after a few days of training. You can’t take any paper notes in training since it’s considered “contraband”. The company will suspect you of “taking down people’s social security numbers”, and if you are caught with paper you get written up/terminated. There is absolutely no cell phone use. Period. If you get caught with it, even if you had a last minute emergency call you had to take, you get written up. You need “prior approval” by a manager to use your phone in an emergency call. There are 6 exams you need to take to even get on to the floor, so you’re not even guaranteed a job after training if you don’t pass. You have about 2 tries to take a test, and if you fail the second time you get a verbal+written warning. After the 3rd time if you fail, you’re terminated. The training is a joke. In my first week, I left after day 3. Trust me, it’s 3 days of your life that you’ll never get back. Dress code is even harsher for both women and men. Basically if you don’t have business clothes, “this probably isn’t the job for you”. - Actual words from the trainer of the class I was in. I could go on, but I think I’ve exhausted this case. Point is clear: DON’T DO IT.
Better transportation than Corporate Woods but still plays their customer service reps cheap. AWFUL pay even for a caa center
I went to this place maybe once a year for interviews. I never hear back from them even after inquiring status updates or leaving voicemails. Needless to say, I dont have to bother with this place again.
This place steals personal belongings when you leave. I had multiple things taken upon my departure. When I called and asked for them to be returned I was told they had been shredded. Thank you MAXIMUS for shedding my medical notes that I had kept a copy of in my desk as your HC dept can not keep track of them as well as personal portfolios I had paid money to put together. I have never been so angry with a place of employment. I will never recommend them.
I hate this place. But a job is a job
Do Yourself a favor dont ever work in this place, its filled with shady individuals with people that went to jail for credit card fraud but are working with people SSN.Most of the upper management does not care and promote people for their skin color, they discriminate against minorities and the LGBT community also, i warmed for blacks, hispanics and gay people to stay away from this company.worst mistake of my life was wasting a year working there with the promise they were going to give me a promotion and just keep sugar coding me so i would never leave, dont let this place fool you they only people that are happy here are all the upper management, and as minority even if you have a master degree you wont get promoted do not waste your time and education in this hell hole.
I worked for this company for 5+ years. Been promoted 5 times. Thats the good news. The bad news, after putting in my 2 week notice, I was treated like a leper and after I left I come to find out that they have marked me as non rehireable. Ive recently found out that if you want to go to the bathroom, you use your 15 minute break. If you go over that alotted time for the day, congratulations, you are now forced to use your PTO. If you need office experience, do what you need to do and get out. Do not get comfortable. As a former supervisor there, I also know that staff are chosen and selected by upper management on who gets to interview. I also know that promoted staff arent selected by their interviewing skills but based on conversations behind closed doors with the staffs current supervisor and the interviewing supervisor. Many times I was forced to overlook and select staff not based on their ability but based on their personality.
Large, clean building and the people there are.nice to visitors.
Very greatful for this job. Supervisors and Managers for the FPBP department are always motivating.
I was working for this company and have never been so appalled at the lack of education, professionalism, and accountability. My training class had a woman in it who came in with fresh crack burns on her lips smelling of crack cocaine. Knowing that a lot of what you learn at a call center will happen out on the floor, there was still a vast amount of missing answers that wouldve heped to insure that we did not give misinformation to our callers. I heard agents curse at callers, in a more than noticable range to team leads and supervisors, without any disaplinary actions being taken. One particular case I asked the agent next to me what the caller did to enrage her to that level and she told me, Seriously, just cause her insurance gets turned off she gotta come at me? Like what am I supposed to do? It is not my fault that she is a crazy bith and needs meds. And the team lead sitting with us said that she agreed and that people with mental health issues are not handicapped but just lazy and immature. And this is who we trust our healthcare with in the state of NY?!? The sheer inability of the Seibel system to process everything leaves applications in glitches for months. And when I experienced fraud on my own account from an agent who just lied about my income to get me into medicaid, INSTEAD of just filing the proper incidents/escalations to correct the issue, I decided that I cannot be quiet anymore. More people need to know about this shady company who doesnt even put their name on any of the buildings (inside or out) or their paperwork. They just piggy back on the state department so that you will compain to them. Jokes on us though because... No state department is actually accountable for them. To file a fraud complaint about Maximus you must file it with Maximus! SHADY AS HELL!!! #timetowakeup
In all fairness this is where I work.
Poor management from the top down when I first started working there it was the best place to work but after years they dont learn from their mistakes and micromanage the hell out of their workers they dont know what their priorities are
