Knocked on our door at 8PM, and was not knowledgeable about specific ingredients they use. The sales person kept mentioning a gummy bear bait they use for moles, to be buried in the ground. We have a hunter cat who digs arms deep into the ground for moles so we were concerned for her safety. The sales persons answer to my questions were the gummy bears should be safe if your kitty were to dig one up. Should be safe is not OK for us. The sales person continually stated that their products are all natural, but upon further investigation, they are not. Stay away from this company.

He explained what he was going to do before he started, was professional and focused while doing the work, then explained what he had found and what he had done when he was finished. He was a joy to interact with, we are extremely happy with his service. I hope they send him every time.

I will never use this service because of how rude and completely unacceptable the salespeople are. They come by over and over. They refuse to ring a doorbell, they insist on knocking on the glass loudly and not just knocking but repeatedly knocking until they get your attention. Every person they send does this, this is a deliberate part of their sales training.When you try to say you arent interested they insist on asking why and wont leave your door step. All their salespeople do this. This has to be in their training.I will NEVER use this service specifically because of how horrible their sales tactics are. People in my neighborhood are beyond fed up.I will always rate this company 1 star for the rest of my life. Im beyond fed up. Todays the last straw. Making my dogs upset, not taking no for an answer, making me leave a meeting from my home office early to go outside to verbally say l explain why NO REMAINS MY ANSWER. I should be able to say no, one time, from my intercom.This is ridiculous. This is how theyre trained because every one of their salespeople do this.I use Meercat pest control because they NEVER do what Fox does as far as going door to door and annoying entire neighborhoods.

I was working/remodeling my kitchen when I get a knock on the door at EIGHT at night. My husband and I don’t answer as we are preoccupied. Another knock. Then another. Non stop, at EIGHT. My husband answered and listened to their monologue. Felt it was 1) disturbing at night. 2) weird how I watched them go from house to house knocking, desperate for a sale. 3) knew we were home and were relentless when we wouldn’t answerThe next day I found a huge carpenter ant infestation when taking up my parquet in the kitchen. Guess who I made sure I went out of my way NOT to call!

We have been using Fox Pest Control for coming up on a year now and I am very pleased with their service. We reached out to them for the first time when we were having problems with bees going into top peak of our home and havent had a problem since.

I like that Fox Pest Control present specifics and honest dialog regarding the issues which have affected or currently are impacting ones property. The contrast and comparison of what a homeowner contends with trying to rid pest and the cost associated with retail purchasing of materials to rid pest is time consuming and can get expensive. Its never one pest! Having a seasonal services that addressed individual need and at a reasonable affordable cost is the way to go. Professional employees and customer service.

Every year we have wasps and bees around our home-every year I hire a service and every year I am sort of happy with what I get for my money. So when a representative from FOX Pest Control came to my home after they were done spraying my neighbors house, I was happy to talk to him. This is one I had not used yet. They talk to you about all the services they provide and ask what your needs are. I explained I have bees and wasps and signed up for the 4 treatments they provide for the year. My technician was Jeffrey Lexa. Super friendly and very good at his job. I was on a conference call for over 45 minutes and could see him out my window. He was there the entire time treating my home. He not only sprayed for bees and wasps (which was all I told them I needed) but he took the time to show me that he noticed while he was spraying that I had mold holes in my lawn. This has always been a problem which my husband has been trying to treat for years. He showed me where they were burrowing and I saw the little tunnels where he placed the mole bait. He treated the foundation of our home to guard against insects and ants etc. He sprayed the lawn for ticks. All this is included in the price. They even check to see if there are areas where mice might enter your home. I will say they are a little more pricey then the other services I have used, but once you see what they do for that fee, it becomes VERY clear that you get what you pay for. The list of services they provide is unbelievable! Like night and day from the previous pest control services I have used and I will be sticking with them from now on. Thank you!

But then I received a Pest Control Service Agreement AKA CONTRACT to Sign which included the following terms; SHOULD BUYER CANCEL THIS AGREEMENT AT ANYTIME, BUYER AGREES TO RE-PAY ANY DISCOUNTS RECEIVED ON SERVICES RENDERED. AFTER 3-DAY RIGHT OF RESCISSION, THE BUYER IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR A $150 EARLY TERMINATION FEE. I am also agreeing to allow Fox Pest Control to automatically charge my checking account or credit card the first week of the servicing month before they have rendered services! I AM SORRY to Say that if their services are as good as they say then they would not need me to sign a 8-Page contract! Last thing that made me think about what i was agreeing to: CONTRACT DURATION - I understand that this agreement consists of 1 initial treatment and 6 Bi-Monthly treatment(s) the first year and 6 Bi-Monthly treatment(s) each successive year, for a minimum of 12 months. If they are the Best Pest Service then asking me to sign a contract for over a year.

I was a little worried because this was a door to door sales BUT it turns out this company is very professional and thorough.

After spending 45 minutes looking at my yard, talking to me about how they would be able to help me with an ant infestation in the lawn, the tech arrived to provide the first service, only to tell me they only do household services and not lawns. So they sold me the service knowing it was not what I needed, and they dont do what I was asking for.The treatment was very basic, I usually do the same thing for myself every year for under $30, only it cost me $267.50 with Fox Pest.Eager to sell me something to gouge me with a huge fee, even though it was not something I needed. Not pleased and feeling ripped off.Edit: Great canned response, but if they really cared that their salesperson lied to make the sale, they would refund be the absurd $267.50 startup fee. BTW they conduct the first service within hours of starting service so that they can charge you before you realize they are scammy. Stay away from this company.

Sales visit was very polite and not pushy. The first service was the very next day. Wood bees were gone immediately. Time will tell on the others, but we are optimistic.

Not trustworthy.last year summer we found some dropping which we thought were mice dropping. Fox Pest came knocking on the door so we got their service. We got them to do full year service. They confirmed the dropping were mice and put bites all over the house. They said there found dropping up in the attic as well. We would check on the bites but were always empty. We would still find dropping here and there. This year summer again we found droppings. This time around contacted Absolute Pest Control. When they came and looked the the droppings, they were like these are not mice dropping but fly cocoons shells. They told us to get hot strips on the store and as flies when away so did the cocoon shells. Absolute Pest Control took me to the attic also and showed there is no sign of any dropping or any infestation. Do not trust Fox Pest Control or meerkat.

They couldnt care less if they are disturbing you nor do they back off when you inform them that you are uninterested in listening to their pitch. Attempting to trash other companies is not a good sales tactic, than asking how much I pay for my services that I use that I am clearly happy with. Fox Pest Control delivered the best customer service and field rep experience I could have hoped for. We had mice - relatively new ans very clean (at all times) home in a suburban neighborhood with a bit of forever wild in the back. However in past couple of years our development was completed and probably some field mice lost their habitat so decided to join us rent free. We said “No” to that and called Fox.John gave me a great education in mice habits and the confidence to know where and how to trap them. Fox has different levels of service we opted for the quarterly maintenance plan. Because of this we did not get intensive mice extermination as part of our plan. Even so Fox honored our callback request to make sure the problem was subdued for now. And we think it is.I think we could recommend Fox to anyone.

Why are you knocking on my door at 8:30 PM to sell your product? Not ok, at all. Ive already told your guy NO 2 months ago. Its bad enough to get solicitors, but getting them past 8pm is totally unacceptable.

I was very pleased with my initial contact on the phone and the explanation of the service to be done and the understanding of my bee issue. I was also very pleased with the flexibility in scheduling the service (only one little glitch) and the technician was very personable, knowledgeable and professional. A follow up call that I made was also addressed very well. Overall everyone was professional and knowledgeable.

They came onto my property uninvited, knocked on my door in the middle of the work day, interrupted a meeting with my boss, and the person wasnt even wearing a mask. If they come back again Im calling the cops.

Fox Pest control is a questionable company at best, especially when considering not only their sales practicies and tactics, but also their billing practices. To begin, one of their multiple sales representatives, which get shipped up from Utah, approached me last summer at my home as they were going door to door attempting to recruit customers. I typically never speak to folks soliciting business in this manner but I will admit the guy was extremely pleasant to talk to and really wanted to plead his case. I foolishly obliged.I listened to his whole schpeel about how Fox Pest Control would be the answer to my pest problems. I asked some hard hitting questions to test the depths to his knowledge, such as what control methods they utilize for mice. The sale representative either was confused as to their actual control practicies, or he just told me what I wanted to hear, but Ill touch on this more later. He cut me a break by saying I could sign with them for just one year, instead of the two year contract he was pushing. I signed.Regarding the actual service, I didnt have much problem with it outside of the fact that any homeowner could seemingly do what they do for less money. I mistakenly thought that they would be more comprehensive in evaluating a home for pests. Instead, they just sprinking granula material around the house and spray the perimeter. Also, one of the reasons I signed is because I wanted a professional company to attempt to mitigate the mice problem in my attic. When I originally signed the contract, I specifically asked them what control method they utilize for dispatching mice. I did not want the mice to be poisened, only to later die within my walls or attic. I was told they did not use that method. When the actual service tech showed up, he pretty much said that they can put bait traps up there in the attic with poison. Needless to say, I did not want that.Outside of that, the rest of the contract period went fine. They were always on time and prompt. Service technician was always clean and very mindful when inside the house. No complaints there. Towards the last few months of my contract, I did not want to continue service with Fox Pest Control past my original contract period. I called them twice to ensure they understood this because they specifically note that unless you call and cancel, they will continue to bill you and put you on a regular customer schedule. After two calls and assurances that this information was notated on my account, I felt good once the final service was completed. Low and behold, I wake up today to a charge to my credit card for a service visit, one they actually hadnt even performed yet, outside of my contract period. I couldnt believe it. I specifically told them I was done and did not want to continue. I called them immediately and had to leave a message even though they were supposedly open. I left a message requesting a callback. Towards noon, I hadnt heard anything so I called them again and got a representative who apparently couldnt close out my account/issue the refund and I would need to be transfered to a customer retention specialist. Keep in mind, I already went through this rigamarole the last time I spoke with them and they tried to schmooze me into staying. I had none of it this time and demanded my account be closed permanently, and that I did not want to see another charge on my account or I would be taking further action against Fox Pest Control. I was told that because I was considered a loyal customer, thats why they kept my account active and would offer me free services for the next however many months. I said The way you treat loyal customers is to bill them after they told you they do not want to continue services? I think that says it all. Shady company.One last thing. They arent even allowed to solicit for business in the town I live in. They did not take the proper steps to become authorized for recruiting customers in the manner in which they do.Stay far far away from Fox Pest Control. Hope this helps someone else

The technicians have been both awesome and frustrating. 1 was almost disinterested in my queries and concerns, one was great and one was so-so. After 3 treatments over 2 months I still have more and increased activity from spiders and insects around the home than I had before. I have been told that it gets worse before better, but 10x worse? I dont have a lot of faith in this system as of yet. Still waiting for results.

The people that Fox sent out were on their game. They are very polite and courteous and new their business. They told me what they were going to service and explained why. These techs were very personable. What is most important is they told me that I was scheduled at 3 pm.and they arrived on time. Great Job!

I have had Fox Pest Control for one year and I am very pleased with their service! Their service covers a wide variety of different pests in house and around the house, including ticks, wasps, ants, spiders, stinkbugs, rodents, and many other more. I am especially pleased with their service on ticks and flees. They did excellent job in getting rid of all the possible ticks in shrubs around the house. Our kids got three tick bites in the spring of 2019 when they just tried to retrieve balls rolling under the shrubs or tried to pick up some flowers. But we haven’t had any tick bite incidents since Fox Pest serviced our home starting in June 2019! Their rodent control service is also great, and I think these pests might have been the culprit for bringing ticks to the shrubs around our house. I also noticed that our basement was free of pill bugs this past winter – the first time ever over the past 13 years we have lived in this house – hooray! I think their service technicians are quite professional and have done excellent jobs. Their customer service is also excellent and is very responsive to our various inquiries. Prior to each quarterly service, they informed us when and what services were to be performed and asked us if any additional services were needed. On the day of service, they summarized to us what had just been done. After each service they followed up. If we requested additional services in between, they arrange it promptly and it’s for free!

Not sure there is much difference in controlling of insects or moles/voles in my yard. They say they’re restricted by chemicals they can use in NY. Seems to be an improvement over last year but could just be dumb luck, as it seemed to vary year to year before I started using Fox. This year I’ve taken matters into my own hands by putting Grub Ex down and some poison I bought from Lowes to control the moles and voles. I will say the customer service is excellent and with the 2 year agreement they will come out anytime if you’re not satisfied. I have had them come out a couple extra times but didn’t really think it was effective. Also they seem to have trouble keeping technicians so you’re constantly updating a new person of your issues. All in all the price is good for the initial 2 year agreement and it will depend on what the price is going forward whether I continue the service.
