Unfortunately I cannot leave a review about their service or their work because I had my vehicle stolen from their parking lot the night before work was to be done on the vehicle.. I will say they had no issues trying to help me with video recording. They do need to upgrade the camera quality though. I am leaving a five star review because I know people that have had work done here and have never had an issue and I cannot base their service off of some thing that was not their fault

$500 transmission wiring harness lasted from Akron to Jax Florida then started leaking.

Once again, they properly diagnosed an issue, and while they dont do that type of work (turned out to be a radiator hose leak not a transmission cooling line), they didnt charge me. Good honest work and very customer oriented.

I was referred to this shop by a old employee, and the service was excellent! I needed a new transmission on a Ford Escape, and Akron Transmission made sure the Escape was taken care of fully before they let it leave their shop. Fixed everything that needed to be done! Very fair pricing and couldnt be happier to have them do work for me! Fully recommend this company for any auto work!

Had a check engine light come on our daughter’s car. We got it scanned and found it was a transmission code. Took it in to have it looked at. It’s a temperature sensor error code that the sensor never goes bad we’re told. The code was cleared and the car was driven without any more codes coming up. Most likely it’s a corroded wire somewhere in the harness causing the issue. No charge for the service. We were told if it comes back on to bring it back in. Also given some areas to investigate on our own instead of being charged for their time looking for something that may not be found. I typically do my own maintenance so I’m good with that. I had to have my 2008 Expedition transmission rebuilt and he did the job fast, and at a very fair price. Then 2 months later converted my air ride suspension, and I had the same experience. Very professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. Gets the job done right! This will be my first choice for all of my vehicle repairs. My husband bought a truck from him also and its been a very reliable vehicle.

They did a great job in replacing my clutch, flywheel, and motor mounts for my 2008 Ford Focus. My first time in being their customer, definently adding them to my rolodex for any future need......:)
