Highly recommend to book your next event at the Empress whatever the special occasion is. This was my first time ever planning a banquet party and Carmela was absolutely a pleasure to work with from the start. She answered all of my questions as many times as I bugged her and she never made me feel like a bother. She was even helpful the day of the event. All of the staff is very friendly and accommodating even the day of your special event.Empress has beautiful decor and is truly a great a place for professional photos. Food is delicious, they listen to the details you want, provide a great sweets table option and reasonable pricing.

This review is long overdue but Im happy Im getting around to doing it now since even after our wedding day we still get rave reviews on our reception at The Empress Banquets. Gus truly was an amazing person to work with and understood exactly our vision from the very beginning. From our food, décor, and our actual wedding day everything was top notch! And can we talk about the food! This was not your typical bland wedding food that you get at other banquets it was very flavorful and delicious! We cant thank Gus and the Empress staff enough for an amazing night in a beautiful, clean, and spacious banquet that exceeded our expectations from start to finish! We definitely recommend this space for your next special event.

We cannot say enough great things about The Empress. We had our wedding reception here August 2021 and it was absolutely incredible, so incredible we had guests ask for their business card because the venue, the ambiance, the staff, the service, and the food was the best they have ever had. Gus is a great owner, and you can tell he really cares for his customers and staff. Carmela and Billy were amazing at helping us with each step from the moment we signed the contract with them to executing the big night. No wonder why so many people we know have had events here! If your looking for a perfect venue to host your wedding look no further because empress is the best! I fell in love with this venue the moment I walked in the door. The entire place is stunning even the bathrooms! There is no need to spend thousands on decorations because this place is already beautiful. Gus, Carmela and Billy are so easy to work with and make sure your special day is perfect. The food is delicious and so is the liquor (none of that cheap stuff) Our wedding reception at Empress was absolutely perfect and I highly recommend it.

I had my wedding event at this location and I am really happy we picked this location over all other banquets. We compared multiple banquet around the area and this place was very responsive, helpful and accommodating. Empress banquet is newly renovated, clean and very much affordable. They have good lighting and new surround sound system. If you negotiate they are always willing to negotiate per person $charge.

The staff was incredibly attentive, the food - my GOODNESS, the food was amazing, and the entire place was stunningly beautiful. This business is an asset to the community.The Empress has been a staple for family events for many years. Recently I hosted a private event and I cant tell you how they went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. This goes without saying for anyone whos been there, but if you havent, the food is amazing!!!! My kids and other adults in the family always look forward to the Egg lemon soup and thats just an intro to the main meal..The servers actually like their job and they are so pleasant when at work. They really personalize their service and are cheerful as they interact with our table, this isnt just one server, its everyone!I highly recommend The Empress!

All I have to say is I was super shocked at how BEAUTIFUL everything was at my bridal shower. Seriously, they exceeded my expectations. Food was very good too. Definitely recommend.

Nice place, very fancy entrance and lobby area, perfect for photo shoot.Appetizers were so-so but, dinner was spectacular and quantities of food remarkable...of course, I am sure our Italian party hosts saw to that! Could have used a bit more light during dinner, but, very romantic setting.I thought the wait staff was very efficient and bar tenders were quick!Id book a party here!!!

I placed a $250.00 deposit down to have an event at Empress pre-COVID. A couple months later during quarantine I asked for a refund given the circumstances and they refuse to give me any money back. It’s been over 2.5 months and I have yet to hear from anyone. This is bad for business and doesn’t look good from any standpoint. The last time I spoke to them they indicated we cannot do anything until we can reopen the doors and start generating revenue. The future isn’t looking bright for anyone to host a big event with over 50+ people. Sounds as though bad business decisions were being made prior to COVID and their now being exposed. I’m more than shocked to learn their unable to refund me for what isn’t considered a substantial amount given the scenario. For what I was eager to at their banquet hall, I no longer look forward to doing any sort of business with this company.

I was a guest at a wedding last weekend. The Empress is an awesome place for a wedding! The food was fantastic! The hall was well maintained and clean. The staff were ever present and their service was impeccable!

My boyfriends brother had his wedding reception here and it was AMAZING! The food was outstanding, the service was impeccable and the manager was very helpful through out the entire night. The decor was great and very cleanly bathrooms. I dont live in Chicago, but if I did I would absolutely use this event location!

This charming and elegant banquet has superior class in every aspect! The decor; spectacular! The food; top chef quality! The cleanliness, staff, leadership, organization etc...I cannot say enough great things. The ladies room is equipped with essentials, what a great touch! These guys get it and the name truly lives up to the high standards management upholds for this venue.

My only thing with Empress was that the salad we were served had only one grape tomato with spring lettuce and thats it. There were no veggies on the menu at all. I am a veggie person. However, the service was impeccable.

BEAUTIFUL! I felt like a princess! I had my wedding here in September of this year 2017. Gus the owner did an amazing set up for us. Our room looked so enchanted with crystal pieces on our sweets table and silver sequence tablecloths for our sweetheart table and cake table. The guest tables looked amazing also. The set up he did for our reception was so elegant and exquisite. The Food was EXCELLENT and they also accommodated for food allergies as well! IM SO HAPPY WE CHOSE THE EMPRESS TO CELEBRATE OUR VERY SPECIAL DAY!

We were there for a charity event a few weekends ago and the place stunk to high heaven. Its like someone had had an issue in the bathroom and they tried to cover it up with cheap air freshener. I had to leave.

I want to stress how amazing Empress Bqts is. I recently threw a surprise disco themed bday party there for my mom and from the time I called and spoke to Gus to the end of the evening, IT WAS FLAWLESS. For me to say that means a lot and is shocking because I work as a Banquet Chef for a huge upscale hotel that specializes in Banquets and Empress does the most amazing job and I know this because working in the industry I know exactly what to look for. The staff is professional and friendly and they go out of their way to make sure your event is immaculate. They set up the dessert table for me when my desserts I ordered arrived and it was absolutely beautiful. The appetizers I had passed around the room had no complaints and were delicious. The food buffet was wonderful and tasted amazing. The bartender Nick was so nice and smiled all the time and Gus went out of his way to hang a disco ball in the room to go with our theme. The little lobby area they set up for me in our room by the bar, really made it special and look elegant. The uplighting they did set the perfect mood of the room and all the decorations and added touches in the middle of the tables and on the buffets were perfect. I would highly recommend this banquet hall to everyone. They are number one on my list and I would definitely be having many more parties there without a doubt. The prices are reasonable and all their extra touches they do to go out of their way are so much appreciated to help with throwing and organizing a party which makes it easier on you and allows the host to actually enjoy the party instead of worrying if everything is going ok. That meant the world to me and again, Thank you Empress Banquets for being amazing at what you do. I appreciate every bit of it.Gina

My sons wedding was at your Addison site on November 10th. IT WAS PERFECT. They had the Cerimony and Reception here. The accomodations couldnt be better. The food was family style. During the reception at a wedding, a family member sang to the bride and groom a wonderful song! But in the middle of her singing the staff thought it was appropriate timing to remove the cake and table that was between the new couple and the singer. I found it RUDE that the staff would be in the middle of such a wonder moment!! And they werent quite either.The staff REALLY need to have better manners when it comes to these types of moments. There was plenty of time after her singing to remove the cake and table. Maybe next time they will wait until someone is done pouring their heart outSo rude.
