My Father recently passed and I cremated him as per his dictation and Leaf was recommended to me by a co worker and they were phenomenal. I was able to handle everything by phone and payment through email. It also didnt break my bank to handle this. The men that came to my parents place were very nice and understanding. Weve had many deaths in my family, both my brothers, my mom and my dad most recently. My dads was the first one at Leaf Cremation. They were the very best. Weve had a few bad experiences with funeral homes and Its hard to say any experience with the death of a loved one or a funeral home is good but my dads was, they made it special! My sisters body was 63 miles away in McDonough and incurred no extra mileage fees. Leaf is close to my home, so it was easy to drop off the check, sign forms and gather her remains. With Covid19 raging, they were busy, but when I mentioned her Celebration of Life at her church was for the weekend, they moved up both her pick-up and cremation dates.Jaime did a great job in getting her obituary posted immediately. When I requested that they take down the link to order flowers, since the family wanted no flowers and for donations to go to a specific charity, they complied and even refunded a couple of purchases that had already been made. What company does such a thing ? And they NEVER showed any negative mannerisms to me or the other family members.Could I be nit-picky and find some areas that Leaf Cremation could improve on, of course. Stay in contact with them through your ordeal. They do a lot with the small staff they have. But as I reflect on the ENTIRE process, we really got our money’s worth, and exceptional personal service, even after-the-sale. I was so worried covid would make getting services hard to do, but at leaf everything was so easy and done in a timely manner. TL elizabeth, AND Brian are great and answer calls right away . As a nurse working in the hospital I have had interaction with the Leaf Cremation transport a number of times. They were very courteous and professional. So when it came time to decide who to use for my mothers cremation I obviously chose Leaf Cremation. As previously experienced, the transports were top notch. They were very kind and very professional and made a difficult moment less stressful.The 2 star rating comes from how the rest went. I wasnt going to be able to pick up the remains and didnt want to ask someone else to either, so I paid the extra $75 to have her shipped. She passed Christmas Eve so I wasnt concerned when 2 weeks went by. Then 4 weeks, then 6 weeks. At 8 weeks I called and was told her remains were still there (no explanation why) and they told me they would overnight the package. After 2 days I texted them telling them of my disappointment. I got an email with a tracking number that showed it had been dropped off, but no other movement. Today, I finally see movement of the package - from Acworth to Atlanta, to Nashville, to Chattanooga to my town ... I live an hour away...So hoping that 7 days later I will receive my mothers remains. I should have just said no and picked them up!
