I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. When we went to see the apartments that we were supposedly going to rent, they showed us a demo that was immaculate. When we signed the lease, we were told that we would be renting a different unit, but they assured us that all of the units are in the same condition. Nothing can he further from the truth! When we walked into our apartment, it was filthy, there was paint on the counter tops and floors, there was a screw sticking through the kitchen counter, the oven was missing, one of the kitchen drawers was missing, a leaking bathroom faucet, and there were several light bulbs, fixtures, and miscellaneous maintenance issues that needed attention. The oven was brought in immediately, but the other maintenance issues were put on a waiting list. The bulbs were replaced, and outlets were installed after 2months. But, the kitchen drawer was never installed, nor was the faucet in the bathroom fixed. The neighbors are ridiculously loud. We had a parcel stolen from our doorstep. The security gate is ALWAYS broken. They fix it, but it will only work for a couple of weeks. The intrusion alarms also do not work. My daughters were bitten by spiders several times. When I called management to report this and ask for pest control to come and treat it, I was told that they would send the request to pest control. They never did treat the apartment, even though pest control is stated as an amenity. I gave them 65 days notice when I decided to move out. Two weeks before our move out date, we received an eviction notice. The office staff is dishonest and incompetent.
So we really didn’t have any issues for the first few months. Always paid our rent on time, if the maintenance came in a timely manner I would bring sweets to the office. Most of our issues started when a creepy man starting writing all over the sidewalk and breezeways about a neighbor being a “snitch”. He would threaten neighbors and say he was going to kill them. That same man would hide behind cars in the parking lot and try to jump in front of vehicles that were passing, I guess trying to scam insurance companies. He had at least 5 police reports made about him when we left, but apartment management could care less. Second, another neighbor got bit by a dog that wasn’t even supposed to be in the complex as the owner did not let the office know about their dog. Third, I had my back door shot out by a different neighbor. I had shattered glass everywhere and no one came to help me clean it up. I made multiple complaints and it took them a month to come and “fix” my door. What they did was board up the OUTSIDE of my door so any broken glass would fall onto my living room floor where my 1 year old plays and learns to walk. They boarded up a fire exit, and refused to answer my calls when I called to see if they could possibly just board up the window on the door and not the entire exit. I had to go into the office to talk to someone and the head of management was rude and short with me. She said “Well there’s nothing we can do.” It is literally your job to take care of the complex and to make sure your paying tenants have a safe place to live. They refused to discount rent for that month and would not hear our issues about high electricity bills due to having a hole in the side of our apartment. Fourth, there is trash EVERYWHERE outside every single day. There is always a fight going on in the parking lot. There are always kids trying to break into apartments to vandalize whatever they can get their hands on. The kids also are always bouncing their basketballs on the sides of other people’s apartment. There are broken down cars and trucks in the parking lot. Some man likes to work on his truck very loudly at 1am most weekends. And I still haven’t even stated all of what’s wrong with this place. If you’re looking for a safe place to sleep, this is NOT the place. If you’re looking for a place to terminate your lease early as to find a better place to live because everything wrong with it is becoming too much, then this is definitely the place to go.Also, if you ever want a place here, make sure to call them non stop or else you’ll never hear a word from them. And make sure to check the apartment they want to rent to you before you sign the lease, as most have water damage or other major issues.Good luck y’all.
Apartment itself was nice. Quiet, safe area. But maintenance is a joke. I got an email 3 months after we moved out saying that they had fixed something. We also tried to tell them we wanted to move out when our lease was up, but they said dont worry, well come around and ask. We waited, but that never happened. So we went back to the office. They told us we didnt tell them in time and made us pay for another month. Like I said, the apartment and area itself is nice, but maintenance and the staff are terrible. I also had multiple packages go missing. Also, the gate never worked.
Moved in a few days ago and so far so good. Love the location of our apartment. Neighbors are nice. Apartment was clean when we moved in. No noise which was a big concern of mine.
The apartment itself was competitively priced for the area. Apartment itself was very nice, except we had a leaking pipe between the bathroom and bedroom. This leaky pipe developed mold under one of our bookcases, which had to be thrown out. Not to mention what it did to the carpet in the room. After informing the management and staff of this and multiple other in need of repair items around the space there was no fast response from maintenance or management. Also, we had a serious problem with keeping our windows closed and locked. Latches constantly were in disrepair and would function properly. The staff turnover was horrendous. I must have seen at least 4 different office managers during my year stint there. On top of that there were numerous subordinates that came and went during that same time. It was a nice space, but very frustrating at the time having to deal with the people that I had to deal with.
My children and I have been trying to get into this apartment for 6 months now. They are always blowing me off saying they dont know when we will get in an apartment. Ive been told for the last 3 months that they are working on an apartment. Then they said that on may 1st it was finally vacated and that they just started working on it. They never call when they say they will. This is definitely not the place to think about moving into. It is definitely time to start searching anywhere else but here!!!!
Impossible to get anyone to fix issues since the office never answers the phone. When they do finally answer, it takes a week or longer before they make the time to get to you.Gates are always breaking down. Supposedly there is video surveillance for security yet nothing ever gets done about the issues allegedly caught by surveillance. The place is a joke for what they charge. I lived in Seattle and was paying the same for a 1 bedroom there with a balcony that I am here.
Stone bridge Apts its self is nice but they rip people off for they money on 5/3/19 i went into the office to pay my rent on that day, I didnt find out until June that the leasing agent who took my money order held my money order until 05/16/19 and her supervisor gonna tell me that i owed them 400$ in late fees she also told me that she couldnt go off the date on my money order she only go off of when her staff gives her the money order and her staff wrote on my money order that i paid on 05/16/19 and she knew damn well i paid my rent on time but anyway im moving out at the end of this month because they stealing ppl money and pocketing it so whoever move in stone bridge becareful because they will rip u off make sure that when u bring ur money order u have them sign and date it because they gonna hold it until it adds up late fees then they gonna say u turned it in late and i am calling corporate office they need to be stop asap....
StoneBridge is not a bad place to live at all, I’ve recently moved in and I see no problems at all with the staff and place itself. The only problems that I can say I have come over lately is that they have a very disturbing man who always keeps his door open and often watches me when I walk to go somewhere in stonebridge. Some neighbors are very disturbing as well as creepy. Other than that I’d say stonebridge is a very nice place to live I definitely would recommend it🤷♀️😁
I rated this 1 star because I couldnt figure out how to put 0. RUN, dont walk, away from this place as fast as you can. From stolen mail parcels to the gross incompetence of the staff to the fact that we moved out a year ago and theyre still calling me asking about work orders, this place is run by the most ridiculous people Ive ever met. The staff is so incompetent they cant even keep employees for more than a month or so. One set of neighbors left their large breed dogs on the porch in the middle of summer with no water and management did nothing about it.It was never told to us that this was the case, but your deposit is not refundable. They use some nonsense company that just takes your money. I dont know how that is fair and I certainly do not remember it being explained me this way. We waited a year to get screens put on our window after we noted in the lease documentation that they were missing. We paid our rent on time every month and we were the only ones who worked under any kind of rules at all.If you can possibly live anywhere else besides this place or any of the other places owned by Lane, youll be doing yourself a favor.
They Never Answer The Phone At All.
When you first look at the place you think you are in paradise. But dont let the look fool you! When it comes to the Office Manager Johnette...SHE HAS A NASTY WAY WITH DEALING WITH HER TENANTS!!!! If you value your vehicles...stay away!now!! They pressure wash the concrete and let dirt and rocks hit your car instead of asking you to move your vehicle. And the Office Manager wants to kick an attitude with you. She has women that work in the office but the only one that has worth is JESSICA. She will try to help you as much as she can but the rest (DONNA and LAYLA) is a JOKE!!! If you have a problem she (JOHNETTE) trys to rush you or brush you off. Her tone stinks...SHE IS NOT MANAGER MATERIAL!!!!We been having a leak over our tub for months and it is still not fix yet!!!! Guess the part is coming from overseas. DONT COME HERE...YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!
If you were thinking about moving to Stonebridge, please read all reviews, nothing good about this place except the rent. Maintenance is a complete joke all they do is come in and Band-Aid the appliances they have to continuously be called back for non-working appliances Ive been dealing with an issue now for eight weeks. I cannot wait to get out of here. They are under new management but there is absolutely no improvement. So beware if you choose to live here you will deal with many issues especially in the maintenance department, kids running rampant no supervision.
Sent account to collections for over $2,000 saying that we didn’t given notice or sign notice that we were breaking the lease when we gave beyond a 60 day notice and was told all they would do is keep the deposit.
My air conditioning has been out for almost a week. Maintenance comes and do nothing about it. They are too busy in the womens apartments that live here. I sat on my porch Saturday and watched one of those guys pull over to the Havens, went in a womans house and she left with him but I call the maintenance line and no one comes out. I see why.
Been without AC for over a month, 8 months pregnant with 2 small children and it’s almost July!!!!!!!! It’s HOT
Just to start off, I DO NOT write reviews on companies so trust that my service had to be terrible in order for me to take the time out of my day to write this. For starters, the communication here is horrible We submitted an application prior to new management coming in. No one bothered to contact to let me know that my application would be delayed. Instead, we had to continuously call them, only for Layla to get an attitude and tell us that we can come and get our money orders (app fees) because it was going to be the middle of November before they would move anyone else in. Mind you, I submitted my application in late September. She knew that we were relocating from another state and had been staying in a hotel waiting on this apartment to come through. She had already previously told us that it would only take a couple of weeks and that the apartment would be ready on October 15. So once we reported her subpar service to the new property manager, we thought that would get the ball rolling. NOT! I guess reporting her only made matters worse. The service got even worse and while our application continued to be delayed unbeknownst to us, no one bothered to KEEP US INFORMED as that would have been asking for too much, like good customer service. Basically to make a long story short, I read several reviews on this property that were very poor and word-of-mouth for residents, non-residents, and others about how theyd heard horror stories about this complex and the area in general. We ended up having to choose another place at the last minute (in 2 days actually because my lease was up back at home which they knew about) and was not even given the courtesy to have our app fees refunded. I just took all the bad reviews and poor service as a sign that it was not best to move out here. So my advice is DO NOT MOVE TO THIS APARTMENT! If I received such terrible service before I moved in, I could only imagine what it would be like as a resident. This review isnt even half of what we went through!
How can u allow broken locks on windows and door locks that half work. Calling Headquarters
Stone Bridge Apartments is a dangerous place to live. The pool always turns green. People try to break into one of my friends car. Plus here the scary part. Somebody try to break into my apartment 7 to 8 times. Stuff gets stolen of my porch. And kids get jumped over their after school. what ever you do, (DONT LIVE HERE)
I was devastated by treatment of this complex and the staff. I had been calling this apartmoent complex since July of 2016. I was relocating from a different state and I had a Section 8 voucher. I was told that I had to wait until I had the voucher in hand to apply. I came down in September and began the process. I advised this office that my expiration date was 10/27/2016 and all forms had to be submitted by that dates. I was assured that it would be. I waited 2 weeks never heard from them so I called to find out they switched management and it would be another week or 2. Noone ever called me so I can try to find a back up. I had already been displaced and had to send my children back out of state due to our family members home being damaged during the flood. So that was a devestation. One week before they had called me 3 times to drive all the way out there due to extra paperwork needed. Not to mention I tried just paying the application fee and not the hold deposit because I heard they were infamous for taking peoples hold deposit and telling them they didnt qualify because they made too much. Moral to this story they made me lose my voucher, took my 100.00 holding fee and never called me about my application status. I advised them I was on medical leave from my job since April so they confirmed that I was on an unpaid leave but advise me they counted the leave as income. This is a serious issue when you have whole families relocating and get railroaded by a property complex. After everything they put me through noone ever called and said anything not once, I had to call them or go out there because they never answered the phones.
Refused to fix any maintenance issues th at occured. Refused to do anyfhing about mold in the apartment. Attempted to charge me for a pet I did not own or was aware about. (Invidible dog?) I can keep going on. Dont live here.
Stone Bridge is not a great place to live. People try to break into my apartment 3-5 times.
Stone Bridge apartment is one of the most craziest and dangerous people and place. The buildings are not built well. The gate always get broken, even when the gate is close people are still coming in. They wont accept certain type of dogs even a Teacup Poodle. I had 6 attempted break in at my apartment. I had to call the police a lot. If you are going to live in Abbeville, Louisiana. Dont live or go to Stone Bridge apartments.Oh another thing, the people who fix stuff dont do their job. An theres trash all over the place. And the pool always turns green.Look take it from me. (DONT LIVE THERE!!)Have a nice day. By Lotus
Neighbors are very noisyBesides that Ive had a good experience living here.
